5055
Haché, Jonah
Short film: 05:00 Min
Canada
5055 is a 3D animated fulldome short set in a distant future where a city survives in space long after the destruction of Earth.
The film imagines how architecture and culture continue to transform over time.
Guided by an ambient score from electronic artist Lusine, the work unfolds as a slow flythrough of light and form, using motion and scale to suggest how traces of place persist beyond their original world.
GOETHE UND DAS ALL-RUND
Apolda Avantgarde e.V.
Short Film: 15:00 Min
Germany
An annual themed festival is held at a replica of Goethe‘s iconic garden house. This year's theme was 'Goethe and the All-Round'.
Goethe, a wine connoisseur, was particularly fond of the 1811 vintage. It is said that a comet passing over Europe that year had a favourable influence on the vines.
But would the wine stand up to scrutiny? What effect will the Comet Wine have on today's party guests?
El Macroscopio: Memories of a Simulation
Shambo Daniel / Hernández Sebastián / Santiago Caicedo
Short Film: 08:00 Min
Colombia
El Macroscopio portrays the lifetime of a simulated universe. A journey where chaos gives birth to order.
Born from an interactive installation, it explores the tension between the infinitely vast and the infinitely small. The gravity, magnetism, and even the sound was once shaped by human gestures in real-time.
This fulldome film is the memory of that living system: one possible unfolding of a cosmos that evolves from turbulence to biology, from geometry to stillness.
Each moment reveals how the microscopic and the cosmic are reflections of each other. A living artwork by Proyecto Aurora

Dance DOME Revolution. Move it, feel it, dance it!
PEI-YU HSU / I-Lung Chiu / Pei-Yan Liao / Chia-Hsiang Lee / Fang-I Chao
Short film: 11:00 Min
Taiwan
Dance DOME Revolution invites audiences to travel back to the vibrant disco era of the 1980s and step into a dazzling dome dance floor. Through immersive 360-degree fulldome projection and retro-inspired dance movements, the work transforms spectators into participants, encouraging them to rediscover bodily rhythm through movement.
The story follows an elderly participant who attends the party with their granddaughter, Anna. What begins as quiet observation gradually turns into participation, as Anna’s enthusiastic invitation draws them onto the dance floor. Moving from hesitation to freedom, the dancer reconnects with a long-forgotten sense of passion and courage through music and motion.
Under the sky
Jérémy Griffaud
Short film: 10:00 MIn
France
Under the Sky is a 6 minutes immersive animated film by artist Jérémy Griffaud, created at the invitation of the Musée national Marc Chagall. This 360° work surrounds the viewer in a dreamlike flow of hybrid landscapes and fantastical creatures. Composed of nearly 300 watercolors created during an artistic residency in Borneo, the work is inspired by local tribal cultures and their deep, spiritual connection with the natural world. Echoing and transforming Chagall's humanist message, Under the Sky emphasizes our fragile relationship with plants, animals and insects. Between Edenic gardens and disappearing ecosystems, the animation offers a poetic meditation on interconnection, loss and the cycles of life.
La méthode des moments
Yakonowsky, Lydia
Short film: 10:00 Min
Canada
"La Méthode des moments" is my third fulldome short and explores, in graphic form, the passage of time through different phases in life. This way, the film transposes the method of moments, a statistical technique, into the artistic realm. Rather than illustrating life literally, the film unfolds it through abstraction, letting memory, growth, and loss emerge from shifting shapes and movement.
In my deepest moments of grief, I’ve noticed how I’m suddenly flooded by a torrent of memories rising all at once— like bubbles full of fragments of what I was losing, with no sense of order or scale, from the smallest details to the most defining moments.
In the film, these moment-bubbles don’t just float alone. They merge and cling together, shaping clusters and patterns; charting a specific period, where memories combine to reveal what life felt like at that time. You embark on an immersive journey through these moments: at times, you drift inside them; at others, you land after passing through and experience them in the present, letting them shine around you.
Through these reinvented graphs, the movie illustrates a universal human experience.
Tales of Hofmann
Hartmann, Luisa / Stellwag, Tim & Ness, Eddie/ Planetarium Hamburg
Short film: 08:00
Germany
Tales of Hofman is an immersive exploration of the often-unnoticed processes that shape our perception of the world. Beginning in the quiet complexity of a forest ecosystem, the film moves through surreal landscapes before transitioning into the human brain, incorporating authentic MRI scans to suggest shifting states of mind. By drawing subtle parallels between natural systems and human biology, it reflects on the interconnectedness of environment and consciousness. Combining 360° live-action footage with 3D animation created in Blender and Unreal Engine, the film transforms scientific imagery into a poetic audiovisual experience.
The project premiered on December 11. 2025 at the Planetarium Hamburg, were it was part of a one-hour student production from the HAW Hamburg.
Breath of the Loci
Kozub, Jared / Barton, Todd
Short film: 08:00 Min
Canada
In this art film by Jared Kozub the universe breathes music to life across the cosmos through giant shakuhachi flutes and vocals. It starts on a mysterious desert planet and takes you on a journey across the stars - visiting locations such as volcanoes, nebulae, black holes, and more. The sound of Japanese flutes paired with spacey visuals create an immersive and meditative experience in the dome.
The Lost Garden
D.T. Lam, Michel/ Fig55
Short film: 08:00
Canada
Users walk through a dreamlike garden where everything seems extinguished and gradually bring the musicians of Les Violons du Roy to life around them. As Summer from Vivaldi’s Four Seasons plays, the garden slowly comes back to life.

On the Typology of Planetariums. Theater Layouts and Visual Language
How does the theater layout of a dome influence the stories we tell inside it? This presentation explores the relationship between spatial design and audience experience in planetariums as immersive media environments. Drawing on a dataset of 164 domes from the GDP and GLPA communities, it introduces a typology of planetariums to identify structures within the Planetarium landscape. Using statistical analysis, several distinct dome types emerge, each with its own spatial logic and viewing conditions. Building on media and design theory, the presentation reflects on the visual language of fulldome and the current conditions of planetarium practice.

How to use Blender for Fulldome Production
In recent years, the open-source software Blender has developed into a viable alternative to commercial products such as 3D Studio Max, Cinema 4D and Maya. It is now used not only by hobbyists and in the advertising industry, but also for successful, Oscar-nominated productions.
This talk serves both as an introduction to and a case for Blender as a tool in fulldome production.

Strange transient objects in the sky. Beatriz’s recent peer-reviewed research publications provide robust evidence for non-anthropogenic UAP (unidentified anomalous phenomena). Despite being shrouded in a mix of dismissal and blind spot management, the topic of UAPs has not gone away. In fact, it is more visible today than ever before, with Congressional hearings and films such as the 2025 documentary Age of Disclosure and Steven Spielberg's 2026 film Disclosure Day. Despite the growing speculation and ontological uncertainty, Dr Beatriz Villarroel’s research is firmly grounded in observable data, and is nonetheless astonishing.

For the Fulldome Festival 2026, Oliver brings his vision to Jena – with a set he has developed especially for this anniversary.

Is full-dome wow enough for the next 20 years?
Looking back at 20 years of the Jena FullDome Festival goes hand in hand with looking to the future of the next 20 years. The dedicated panellists will discuss whether the art, science and content of full-dome media have sparked the 'spherical revolution' (as Pedro Zaz has suggested), or whether it has never really left its cradle. 360° full-dome media has always been considered cutting-edge technology that will eventually become mainstream. But does that promise hold true? Are we missing something? What is the relationship between pioneering efforts and profitable business? Who are the game changers waiting in the wings? Will they take off?
MEMORY & RESISTANCE

Little Eve: Stories of Planet Earth
Klara Juzova/ Martin Juza/ Krutart
Full feature: 30:00 Min

Planet Earth is a truly fascinating place. In the vastness of the universe, it is the only known world where life has flourished. But how did it all begin? That is what our new fulldome film, Little Eve, is all about. With two distinct versions, it offers a captivating experience for both families and school audiences, blending adventure with scientific discovery.
Eve is small, but her problems feel huge. She is not sure she can stand up to the wolves, those rough, pushy types who always seem to pick on her. So she runs away. But her mother understands. To help, she shares three stories that reveal the wonders of life and the strength even the smallest can possess.
In the Family version, Eve’s mother tells her about the tiny cell that made life possible, the brave Tiktaalik, a fish that conquered the land, and the clever squirrel who outlasted the mighty dinosaurs. These stories show how even the smallest creatures can change the world.
In the School version, the stories begin with our Solar System. Jupiter is the largest planet, but Venus shines the brightest. Saturn’s rings are stunning, but Mars has the tallest mountain. And Earth? Not the biggest, not the most beautiful, but the only one where life exists.
Little Eve listens, eyes wide, and begins to wonder. What if she’s stronger than she ever imagined?
THE WONDERS OF LIFE
What makes our planet so unique? This block celebrates life on Earth. from the origins of evolution through the age of the dinosaurs. Science becomes adventure, biology becomes poetry.
Each River Holds a Memory
Velázquez, Fernando/ Tiriri Rayo/
Short film: 07:00
Brazil
Each River Holds a Memory is based on a myth of the Marikito Tapuyá people, from the state of Pernambuco, Brazil, in which the river is understood as a living archive. According to this narrative, a great snake inhabits the river and cares for the bodies of Indigenous people murdered during the colonial process. Many of these deaths occurred in the context of forced catechization, when those who resisted or attempted to flee were thrown into the river from the hilltop where the church stands.
In a context in which many Indigenous peoples continue to struggle for rights and the restitution of their territories, the work updates this myth by understanding Indigenous cosmologies as living systems of knowledge, capable of reorganizing ways of thinking about the body, memory, history, and territory.
The chants present in the work, performed by the voice of the juremeiro José Neri, evoke the encantados — ancestors who, after death, become active forces guiding the community. Among them is Malunguinho, king of the forests, a historical leader of Indigenous and Afro-Indigenous resistance during the colonial period, later venerated as a spiritual entity and a central reference in the traditions of Jurema. This ritual, through the ingestion of a vegetal preparation, chants, dances, and prayers, promotes expanded states of consciousness and constitutes a central episteme of this culture.

“Dinosaurs: An Adventure from Another Era” is a fulldome cinematic experience that transforms scientific learning into an immersive journey through deep time. When three curious birds, Avelina (a red cardinal), Yucatina (a Parrot of Yucatan and Amazonia), and Planetito (a little duck), set out to understand what truly happened to the dinosaurs, the eccentric Professor Gallileo Gallilei guides them through prehistoric environments through the power of imagination and scientific knowledge. Audiences travel across ancient landscapes, encounter feathered dinosaurs in motion, and discover how fossil evidence allows scientists to reconstruct millions of years of evolution. The narrative culminates in an immersive recreation of the impact event that marked the end of the Cretaceous period, revealing that extinction was not an absolute ending: modern birds represent the only surviving lineage of dinosaurs. Specifically designed for the fulldome environment, the film combines scientific accuracy, humor, and spectacular visuals to inspire wonder, curiosity, and scientific thinking in audiences of all ages.

FULLDOME FESTIVAL 2026 — CLUB NIGHT
100 Years of Planetarium Jena · 20 Years of Fulldome Festival
We’re celebrating with a launch powerful enough to shake the stars and recalibrate collective consciousness. A night suspended between zero gravity, supernova energy, and immersive 360° fusion.
A cosmic collision of bass, light, and shared transcendence.
MAIN FLOOR · SPACESHIP
Dark dopamine instead of rocket fuel.
Fennek breaks the sound barrier from the very first beat, bending genres and expectations alike. Pressure waves deeper than black holes. Crescendos with gravitational pull — hypnotic, trance-inducing, impossible to escape. Floor energy: extraterrestrial.
His style. His vision. Not of this world: Oliver Koletzki.
Melodic, frequency-driven, and weightlessly beautiful. A sound drifting between euphoria, depth, and interstellar motion. The orbit softens, the horizon expands, and the dancefloor lifts off as one — a moment suspended between cosmic dawn and collective levitation.
Moving between weightlessness and Mach 10, LydiaM pilots the journey to the edge of the universe. Techno as fuel. Hard techno as propulsion. Frequencies intensify, heart rates accelerate, and the main floor reaches light speed.
Meanwhile, Anasofiacalix, Fairlix, and Meisam Nemati transform the spaceship with immersive 360° visuals designed to ignite synapses and expand perception. Galactic streams of light, fractal dimensions, and cosmic landscapes merge into a second atmosphere made of sound, motion, and mind expansion.

SECOND FLOOR · GARDEN
Mycelium of the Galaxy
While the spaceship races through hyperspace, the cosmos grows from below. Organic, warm, trippy, and deeply physical. A psychedelic root network of groove, mist, rhythm, and collective pulse.
Lukas Geister opens the deeper layers. Hypnotic loops and melodic pressure intertwine into a set that doesn’t push forward — it pulls inward. No outside. No stillness. Only rotation.
Phoebe brings the Garden Floor into full bloom. Disco molecules, house DNA, and garage enzymes fuse into a warm, organic sound rich with color and life. Disco for 2026 — carefully cultivated, unmistakably unique, and ready to take root in both mind and heart.
Warning: this sound leaves spores.
Max Bambi guides the journey deeper into the afterglow: deep, magnetic, physical, and floating. Basslines like dark matter. Melodies like particles of light drifting through the fog. A floor for those who don’t just hear the rave — but disappear inside it.
