For the 18th time, we are opening the doors of the world's oldest planetarium to host the international FullDome Festival from May 23-26, 2024. The FullDome Festival shows the best 360-degree films produced in the past year. The films are created by professional producers, young talents and innovative artists. Some of them celebrate their world premiere. The films are curated and judged by an international jury.

The best productions are honored with the JANUS Awards, the "Oscar" of the fulldome scene. In addition to the fulldome films, the program also includes the Frameless Forum presentations, featuring innovations from the fields of fulldome and immersive media, electronic art, virtual reality and augmented reality.

The curated IPS Special FullDome Festival for delegates of the International Planetarium Society IPS conference follows a few months after the regular festival. Because the projection planetarium was developed 100 years ago in Jena, the IPS Meeting 2024 will take place first in Jena, then migrate to Berlin.

As part of the IPS conference, the winners of this year's JANUS Awards will be announced on July 19, 2024 at 7 p.m. in the Zeiss Planetarium Jena.

€20.00 reduced, you can enjoy the entire daytime programme and the concert with

Illusive sphere: EMIKA - ' If We Disappear '
An acoustic-visual trip: the Berlin multimedia artist will not only enchant you with her great
voice, piano playing and hypnotising beats - you can expect a live performance with
impressive 360-degree visuals in a wondrous location, WOW!
If We Disappear - Berlin sound designer Emika presents her latest album "Falling In Love
With Sadness" in her show created for the Planetarium. The 360-degree visuals were
composed for this show. The Emika sound consists of her unmistakable voice and a mixture
of piano playing and hypnotic beats. An acoustic and visual trip into a world where we
wonder where love goes in times of chaos and how we return to a familiar place.
After the great response to Emika's show under the star dome in the Zeiss-Großplanetarium,
the Berlin multimedia artist is returning to the dome for more shows this year. The audience
can expect a real live performance with impressive visuals - a concert experience of a
special kind. Emika plays and sings live to her tracks - a real concert!

Clubnight: 30 Years Muna Showcase

Together with MUNA, the FullDome Festival transforms the planetarium into a club in
a class of its own. We are celebrating 30 years of MUNA and 13.85 billion years of
the universe. Today, however, it's not the stars that will capture your attention, but a
composition of sound, visuals and light. Surrounded by galactic sounds, gravity loses

Zum Abschluss des 17. FullDome Festival 2023 haben wir ein Programm
zusammengestellt, das sich besonders an Kinder wendet. Die dürfen aber gerne ihre
Eltern mitbringen, denn die Großen werden die ausgewählten Fulldome Filme
genauso mögen wie die Kleinen.
Ein weiteres Highlight ist „Sterntaler – Vom Universum belohnt“
Ein Märchenmusical
Die Handlung des Grimmschen Märchens kennen wohl die meisten: Ein armes
Waisenmädchen geht in die Welt hinaus und gibt alles her, was es hat. Für seine
Barmherzigkeit wird es belohnt, indem Sterne als Silbertaler vom Himmel fallen.
Im Planetarium ist mit „Sterntaler – Vom Universum belohnt“ eine musikalische
Neufassung des Märchen-Klassikers zu erleben: Das arme Mädchen ist eigentlich
eine Weltraumfee, die mit ihrer geliebten Schwester auf einem fernen Planeten lebt.
Eines Tages muss die Fee auf die Erde, um Gutes zu tun. Zu einem armen
Menschenkind geworden, geht sie in die Welt hinaus und verschenkt das Wenige,
das sie besitzt. Als sie frierend im dunklen Wald steht, fallen Sterne als Silbertaler
vom Himmel in ihr neues Leinenkleid. Aus den Talern baut das Mädchen einen
strahlenden Tempel, das Fundament aus Sternenstaub, der Materie, aus der wir alle
sind. In dem Haus sind alle willkommen, das Leben in seiner Vielfalt zu feiern und
der Welt mit Liebe zu begegnen.
Ein Märchenmusical mit tollen Liedern und den Stimmen von: Stefanie Heinzmann,
Ingo Pohlmann, Tetje Mierendorf, Elena Zvirbulis, u.a. (Produziert von Dr. Julia

Ein besonderes Highlight ist der TRAUMZAUBEBAUM

Speziell für das kreisrunde Ganzkuppel-Format im Planetarium wurde das legendäre
Originalalbum "Der Traumzauberbaum: Geschichtenlieder" von 1980 als ein Musik-
Hörspiel mit beeindruckenden Bildern visualisiert. Die Show erweckt die
Originalzeichnungen von Traumzauberbaum, Moosmutzel, Waldwuffel und vielen
anderen Figuren durch behutsame Animationen zum Leben.
So haben Kinder ab 4 Jahren und insbesondere alle, die mit dem Traumzauberbaum
aufgewachsen sind, gleichermaßen Freude an den traumzauberhaften
Geschichtenliedern, die sich an der großen 360º-Planetariumskuppel
überlebensgroß entfalten. Ein einzigartiges Erlebnis, denn es fühlt sich an, als würde
man den Kopf in ein Fernsehbild stecken und sich dann selbst mitten in der Szenerie
befinden.
Der Eintritt kostet für Erwachsene 13€, Kinder bis 16 Jahre bezahlen 2€.

The Jena Jubilee Singers have dedicated themselves to the spiritual music of the
black American population of the USA - the Negro spirituals and gospel songs. They
have been part of the Jena cultural scene since 1988, but are also represented
nationally and internationally. As a choir of the Friedrich Schiller University Jena, they
represent both the city and the university through their successful concerts. They are
one of Jena's best-known choirs and we are delighted to welcome them to the
FullDome Festival Jena.
