Anlässlich des 150-jährigen Jubiläums der FRANZ LISZT Musikhochschule Weimar spielt TROPICALISZT mit vier Pianisten live im Jenaer Planetarium. Musikstücke von Franz Liszt und Louis Moreau Gottschalk werden von spektakulären 360-Grad-Fulldome-Projektionen begleitet. Louis Moreau Gottschalk, ein wahrhaft kosmopolitischer Komponist und Klaviervirtuose, der in Nord- und Südamerika auftrat, war in Brasilien sehr beliebt. Er ist ein Gegenstück zu Franz Liszt in der Neuen Welt mit starker Affinität zu tropischen Breitengraden, daher TROPICALISZT. Louis Moreau Gottschalk (1829-1869) wurde in New Orleans geboren, er studierte in Paris, wo er Georges Bizet und Camille Saint-Saëns kennenlernte. Zurück in Louisiana begann er eine virtuose Karriere als Pianist, die ihn durch das ganze Land, in die Karibik und nach Südamerika führte. Dieser "tropische Liszt" reiste in Sonderzügen mit zwei Klavieren, einem Klavierstimmer und seinem Impresario. Er wurde in Salons, in Theatern und Königshäusern, auf öffentlichen Plätzen und an Strandpromenaden gefeiert. Die Parallelen zum Leben seines Zeitgenossen Franz Liszt sind unübersehbar. Diese musikalische Weltoffenheit soll im 150. Jubiläumsjahr der FRANZ LISZT Musikhochschule Weimar mit TROPICALISZT gewürdigt werden. Dazu haben Studierende der Institute für Klavier und Musikwissenschaft und Medienkünstler der Bauhaus-Universität Weimar ein multimediales Projekt entwickelt, in dem die Musik von Gottschalk und Liszt in 360-Grad-Projektionen visualisiert wird.
Pantha du Prince
Wir fühlen uns geehrt, den deutschen Musikproduzenten Hendrik Weber, alias Pantha Du Prince, als besonderen Live-Act für das 16. FullDome Festival im Mai begrüßen zu dürfen. Das Planetariumskonzert wird durch 360°-Kunstwerke von Natalia Stuyk visualisiert.
Hendrik Weber nahm im Laufe der Jahre unter zahlreichen Namen auf, darunter Glühen 4 und Panthel, doch Pantha du Prince wurde zu seinem bekanntesten und gefeiertsten Pseudonym. Weber schloss sich mit Dial zusammen - einem in Hamburg ansässigen experimentellen Techno-Label, das von Carsten Jost, Turner und Lawrence geleitet wird -, um sein Pantha du Prince-Material zu veröffentlichen, das sich durch einen gedämpften und dunklen Ton sowie durch minimale und experimentelle Tendenzen auszeichnet. Über einen Zeitraum, der in den frühen 2000er Jahren begann, entwickelte sich Pantha du Prince von dem minimalen, glockenverzierten Techno des 2007er Albums "This Bliss" zu den reichhaltigen Arrangements und der erweiterten Besetzung des 2016er Albums "The Triad".

Frank Tischer
Der Musiker und Komponist Frank Tischer beschließt die Reihe der außergewöhnlichen Live-Konzerte beim FullDome Festival 2022. Frank Tischer zaubert hybride Soundwelten aus Piano, Modular System und dem legendären Moog-Synthesizer, wobei die ie Ambient-Grundierung gelegentlich mit Wurlitzersounds, Beat- und Drum Machine gewürzt wird.
Zu Frank Tischers schillernder Karriere gehörten Positionen als Bandleader und Keyboarder, u.a. bei der Spencer Davis Group. Als Ozeanpianist bei Stena Lines und Hapag Lloyd sind ihm die zu ozeanischen Klangwelten zur zweiten Natur geworden. Von daher ist es nur konsequent, dass er auch im Liquid Sound Club in der Toskana Therme Bad Sulza Unterwasserkonzerte gibt und als One-Man-Show auf Sternwarten und im Fulldome-Planetarium auftritt.
Martin Kohlstedt
Ein ruhiger Raum voller Möglichkeiten. Ein Innehalten, das Unbekannte, der Moment vor der Entscheidung, welche Tür geöffnet werden soll. Martin Kohlstedt sucht und lebt für diese unbewussten Momente. Das Klavier sucht sein Gegenüber, verschmilzt mit elektronischen Klangwelten zu etwas Größerem als der Summe seiner Teile, was die Konzerte dieses Pianisten zu einer einzigartigen Reise werden lässt. Kein Konzert ist wie das andere – Kohlstedt folgt beim Spielen auf der Bühne seinen Ideen der modularen Komposition: Die Stücke sind im ständigen Fluss und folgen keiner vorgegebenen Form. Improvisation ist ebenso fester Bestandteil seiner Arbeit wie das intime musikalische Gespräch mit seinem Publikum, der Mut zum Scheitern und der Umgang mit Zeit und Raum.Martin Kohlstedt lebt und arbeitet in Weimar. Seine Alben TAG, NACHT, STROM, STRÖME und FLUR sowie die dazugehörigen Reworks fanden international große Beachtung und führten den Pianisten und Komponisten auf Konzertreisen rund um den Globus. Neben seinen eigenen Produktionen komponiert Martin Kohlstedt Scores für Filme, Theaterstücke, Podcasts und Hörbücher , führt sein eigenes Plattenlabel und versucht, sein Handeln mit seinen Idealen von Nachhaltigkeit und Umweltschutz in Einklang zu bringen.

Mike Phillips – Immersion at Plymouth University and Interactive Dome initiative. Mike Phillips manages the Fulldome Immersive Vision Theatre, a transdisciplinary instrument for manifesting (im)material and imaginary worlds. Mike Phillips manages the Fulldome Immersive Vision Theatre, a transdisciplinary instrument for manifesting (im)material and imaginary worlds. The IVT supports interdisciplinary projects working with the Plymouth Dental and Medical Schools, Deep Physics and Astronomy groups, Earth Sciences, Psychology, Architecture and Environmental Building, as well as providing public screenings and supporting artists, musicians and performers through residencies and workshops. Pedro Rodolpho Ramos: Immersive Visual Music - FullDome and intermedia artistic practices. The talk explores Immersive Visual Music as an art form based on music and visual arts towards creating immersive audiovisual environments. It will also reflect on an intermedia artistic practice connecting media arts and electroacoustic composition and go through various FullDome projects - both fixed media and live audiovisual performances - and artistic research takeoffs in the covered disciplines. |

Raul Edossy from producer Softmachine was commissioned to create a fulldome film illustrating the beauty and the ecology of microbes, which is studied at Friedrich Schiller Universität Jena. Achill Moser, who has been touring Germany with his multimedia shows for many years - in a common and traditional way - found a way to present his shows in the planetarium as well. Based on his show "Safari zum Himmel", he talks about this new type of visual presentation. With the event technicians of the Planetarium Hamburg, he has now designed five successful shows in fulldome format. Achill Moser studierte Wirtschaftswissenschaften, Afrikanisten und Arabisch.
